From time to time we are informed of serious illnesses affecting some of our FP band. One such notice arrived recently, but the FP concerned has asked for anonymity, which we must honour and accept. As our population gets older, we ask you to remember all FPs who are ill at present in your thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations are offered to Philip Contini and Valvona & Crolla for winning second, or third prizes, in the following five categories in the Bertolli Spread Olive D’Oro Awards (which uphold the values of authentic and quality Italian food), including Best Family Run Deli, Best Produce, Best Deli Store Cupboard, Best Deli Dish, and Best Deli Café.  This follows last year being awarded the “Best UK Deli”.
