FP News

Eddie Cunningham, a breakdown recovery businessman, died at the beginning of this year. He will be best remembered by many as having a full head of ginger hair. At this time of going to press, we have just learned of the death of John “Jock” McLaughlin . For those interested, the funeral will take place at St. Mark’s Church, Oxgangs, Edinburgh, on Saturday, 4 th February at 9.30 am Mass, thereafter to Mortonhall Crematorium at 10.30am. We have sent condolences to his brother, Paul , whose other brother, Kevin , died some years ago. Our condolences are sent to both families.

Some may remember Bro. Phil. McCormack . He left the Christian Brothers in the late 60’s and joined H.M. Customs and Excise. Your scribe used to deal with him in the V.A.T. enquiry team. He transferred to Customs at Edinburgh Airport. He is currently not very well, and best wishes for a speedy recovery are sent.

Your scribe contacted Geoff. Craig, in East Sussex , and, Peter Cassidy, in Peebles, to wish them Happy 60 th Birthday.

Latest contacts by e-mail :- Laurence Cecchini , in Germany, Fardin Ajir , in America, Michael Belfourd , in London, and Leo Forsyth , in Sussex

There have been a number of new photos, mementos, etc received, and added to the web page. Keep checking every month for new arrivals. Any memorabilia you have will be added. Search your attics, or, better still, your parents.

Received a long epistle from James Buist , in Hong Kong. He seems to be fairing well in the Far East. Also, a great tale from Leo Forsyth about his 32 years in Australia. Great to hear from all and any FPs.
