The latest reunion took place at The Corn Exchange, Chesser Edinburgh, on Friday 17 November. Approx. 60 attended, including Bro. Duignan ( 1953-1964 ), Br. Kelly (1953-1955 ), Ricky Demarco ( Art Teacher of indeterminate date), and Aiden Bremner ( FP and Art Teacher—talk about poacher turning gamekeeper ) and all who attended seemed to have had a good time. Plenty of food and drink were consumed. Many letters and e-mails wishing to be remembered to the FPs were received, and they were most appreciated. It is good to see that some of you, who couldn’t attend, made some effort to be part of the crowd.

Ricky Demarco held a “Conversation Piece “ with Joan Bakewell and Jeremy Paxman in the Queen’s Hall Glasgow on 24 November. He was hoping to discuss some aspects of life as a young teacher at Scotus.

Ricky has been asked to produce a programme for the 60 th Anniversary of the Edinburgh Festival . Part of his theme will be the late, great, Arthur Oldham , and boys from Scotus who took part in the Festival Chorus from its first performance in 1965. Names so far put forward as participants in the Chorus are Leo Cunning, Ian Cunning, Lindsay Wilson, Roddy Zentil, Kevan Donoghue .If there are any more, could you e-mail direct to Ricky at his e-mail address Demarco@gicleeuk.com

A number of FPs have signed into the guest book on the web site. You are all encouraged to do so, to try and get more FPs to contact us

At the last reunion, we obtained a School Dinner ticket for 1966, and a school fixture card for 1965-1966. These are now on the Gallery. Also, it was suggested that class representatives should volunteer to contact fellow pupils of their year to encourage attendance.
